Tombstoning is a British slang term for the extreme practice of jumping into a body of water where the jumper enters vertically straight, like a tombstone. Some say the term comes from people jumping from Tombstone Rock at Stoke Point in Wembury, Devon, England. Others say it was named because of all the fatalities and injuries that occurred from the activity. Or simply because jumpers look like tombstones when they enter the water.
We do not promote or encourage cliff jumping. This site is an informational resource only.

With the disappearance of ukcj-map.com, a new map of cliff jumping spots was required, hence the creation of this website, to continue what that site started but better and improved.
